We were looking for an electrician a couple months ago and found Tom Dennis on the office vendor list at my work. I called him to come do some wiring for new can lights in our home. He returned my call promptly and was able to come do the work within a few days. He was pleasant and reasonable on price. However, all the lights went out a month or so later. Called him back, he said there was a ground or neutral wire that was not right and it had shorted out. This was HIS work. Two brand new LED can lights were casualties of this short. Plus, he charged us for ANOTHER service call to fix his own work. After he left the second time, the ceiling fan in the room no longer worked. It had kicked on while he was working in the neighboring switch and never came on again. Called him back the second time, he said he would have to come out. I returned his call and left a message saying, ok how much would the charge be to come back? He never responded. We felt we should not have to keep paying him to come back and fix his own work. Actually, Missouri Law says he must warranty his work for a year, but he didn't. We hired another electrician to come. They just left. Apparently, when he kicked the fan on he shorted it out, too. Now the motor is burned up. This is a fairly new $300 fan. So Mr Dennis charged us twice for his work and burned up two brand new LED lights and an expensive ceiling fan, further causing us to need to hire another electrician to come out. The new electrician had to properly ground the switches to the can lights, as well. And tighten the electrical switches as they were rounded out. In addition to this, Mr Dennis suggestion for the burned up can lights, was go buy two more lights and return the burned up lights in the boxes, "they never ask" he said. No moral compass there.
