  Made us put a huge deposit down to get put on their “list” then told us 6-8 weeks for them to put the pole. Waited the entire 8 weeks to get pole installed then told us 24-48 hours to energize waited 5 days. Calling and speaking to “customer service” will get you nowhere. Managers were more helpful and actually made it seem like they cared unlike the people that answer the phones. Got one lady you could tell hated her job was rude to both me and my wife and gave us both attitude when asking questions. Best advice is if you are getting nowhere ask to speak with their manager and maybe they will be able to help

  Our electricity tuned off around 2 am Sunday and didn’t return until 12pm the next day for only an hour. Kept doing that for 3 days. We were pretty much left to freeze in cold temperatures. Our fireplace Is what saved us and our 7 dogs. Never once while going out to get food from grocery stores or wood did we see a Karnes truck or employees working to fix the issue. I will say we had water the entire time, thanks to McCoy employees who were out there night and day servicing the pumps. It’s a real let down, when needed the most Karnes failed us.

  If you are planning on moving and building a home or placing a trailer that requires this company to put electric service in please reconsider. This has been an absolute nightmare for my family and this company has no feelings for what families are going through waiting for them to get to your job. If the company is so backlogged that they are making you wait 2 months for service to be placed I would think that the management would look at hiring more people. If you move into the area that Karnes services you have no other options and have to deal with them alone. If I could change putting my home in an area that this company services I would, no questions asked. There are much better companies out there that actually care about their customers. I have never had dealings with any company as unfeeling as this one. Save your heartache and make sure before you move that this company is not your electric provider.
