While working for Rogers, there were 2 men arguing early in the morning, directly in front of Rodney King, Superintendent for the job project. Instead of sending either man home for the day, because he didn't want to lose there production on a job he was behind schedule on, he allowed the men to go into the building to work. The men continued to argue throughout the day, and nothing was done about it. Approximately 1PM, Mr. King left the job site, to go home early. Leaving his foreman in charge. After the work day was over, and men signing out, the same two gentlemen began arguing again, and it led to a physical fight. As the men were fighting for several minutes, until finally falling to the ground, the foreman sat in the heavy equipment forklift and watched them fight. Once the fight was broken up by others, and the men walking around, the foreman finally turned off machine, got out of the heavy equipment machine, and stepped between the men. He then said to the men, "I let you get yours." Meaning he let the men fight, and if they continued, then he would have to report it. Even after being split up, the men continued, and the foreman is seen again, not doing anything other then using phone. After the men split up, the general contractor for the job site came to see what was going on, he was told "Everything is okay, no problems." The fight was not reported to the company, until the next day, and never reported to OSHA. Two days after the fight incident, a representative from Human Resources took statements, & I shared this video with him. Mr. King shared the video with the Project Manager, Sy, and Sy told the foreman, "Shane, (me) said you allowed the men to fight." The foreman told project manager, and Human Resources, "I thought they were playing." Which is a obvious untruth. Two days after giving a statement, and revealing video, I was fired, via text from Mr. King, advising me my services were no longer needed. However, there were new workers brought onto the job three days after I was fired. Which proves further I was let go, only due to sharing this video. Being behind schedule, these men were allowed to stay, just so they could work. No regards was given to there safety amongst each other, or others on the job. Thus was not reported immediately, in hopes that Rogers corporate office would not find out, & the will inform workers of who gives information to human resources, & will fire you, if you shed light on the bad workplace actions they partake in. If you ever choose to work for this company, please know, they will let people argue and fight, just for production, and if you tell anything to Human Resources, or Project Managers, they will reveal where they received information from. They also do not report work place violence to OSHA, as is required. Especially when men are bleeding on the site, due to violent behavior. Not a safe company to work for, as they are only concerned with completing jobs, behind schedule, and by any means necessary. Mr. King also asked me to go in a telescoping aerial lift, to install conduit,, but with a non-English speaking man running the machine. I have been trained in aerial lifts, and did not need a person to operate it for me. The lift belonged to another company, wouldn't allow anyone other then there men operate it. I did not feel safe going up in a lift,, and not being able to speak to the operator,, or advise him of which way to go.. There were never any weekly job site safety "tool box talks" done, and Mr. King did not mention any safety awareness for the tasks that men were asked to do. Further is electrical codes are not adhered too, and when code violations are pointed out, Mr. King will tell you,, "The inspectors don't check good enough and if you don't like it, you can find another job. That is what I did,, however same job site,, and Rogers was able to eventually get me fired from new company by bad mouthing me to general contractor.. NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR ANYONE, while on the job, or anyone in the building after.

I used to work for Rogers which actually was a good move for me. I enjoyed the work and was working my way up. My supervisors however were some of the most selfish, diabolical people I’ve ever met. I had an encounter with a lead where I didn’t follow his direction because he wasn’t pulling his share of work. I got written up but never told about it and they took his side despite leaving early with all the material. Then they fired me for going home to see my mom after sending out a email that states “ YOU SHOULD ALL STILL BE IN THE ARE FROM THE WEEK BEFORE” which doesn’t state not to leave. Not to mention they were gonna give me a raise because of the amount of people quitting due to poor leadership. Don’t come for lighting if you’re in the south east, I’ll say that.
