  Called to ask about having the mast raised on my house. The owner said he would come right over to give me an estimate. He arrived on time, but his bid was 3 times higher than the electrician from Kalamazoo. In addition, he charged me $100 for the estimate. This charge was not disclosed when he offered to give me a bid, nor was it on his website as he claimed. Let the buyer beware.

  Per our website, "Estimates are $100, and if you accept our bid it will come off the final bill." It is not an uncommon practice either for electricians to charge for an estimate, as we have to not only pay for the time of our employees but the gas that it requires to drive out to them
