  Incredibly unprofessional. I called for an estimate on a job. He told me he did not give estimates over the phone and needed to see the job to quote a price. I thought it was weird, but he seemed nice enough over the phone, so I went with it. He schedules a 9:00 A.M appointment to come out to my house several days later. He did not show on time, and I got a text at 9:30 saying he would be late because he was picking up supplies for my job. I was incredibly confused because he had not told me a price at this point. I let him know that it was okay that he was late but that he should not buy materials for my job until he quoted me a price. Fifteen more minutes go by, and he texts me that he is going to pass on the job. It was an inconvenience to me, my tenants, and my time. I swear, my grandfather was the last honest electrician.

  Response from the owner

  I was initially contacted by Nathan on December 7th to install an Attic Junction Box. The word: "Estimate" was not used. On 11 December as I was purchasing Hardware for the Project, Customer sent me an SMS informing me that it was to be only an Estimate. I informed Customer that I don't give Phone Estimates do to the soaring cost of Fuel in California. I then canceled the Estimate.
