I keep calling to try to get a service visit for my generator. Nobody picks up the phone and when I leave a message, nobody will call me back. I've been calling for weeks. Call COX, they answered immediately and I had an appt set up in minutes.

Terrible company to deal with from a customer standpoint. I can’t vouch for or degrade their technical competence, but this is by far the worst customer experience I have had (and I have propane companies to deal with). An electrician installed my generator and that generator was having issues. My electrician isolated the issue to a card, then gets AC/DC to do the warranty work. They cancel an appointment after taking forever to schedule (for what turned out to be a valid reason), only to reschedule for the next day. I wasn’t a happy camper and let my frustration show, which muddied the water a little bit. My girlfriend was home when the technician showed up and he was telling her how he was definitely going to “charge me for this visit” (warranty work) and how he told me what for on the phone when we were having a heated discussion about the appointment change. I called the office and the man I spoke to was equally hostile when I was just trying to explain the unprofessional behavior of his employee. Flash forward to today. I get an invoice for $320+ for this service call. The invoice has 2 hours of labor and a $75 “Daily Truck Charge” (whatever that is). I looked at my cameras and the guy was here for 41 minutes (about 10 of which were at his vehicle). I was billed, but never personally engaged them in a service. My electrician was the one who arranged the work order. Ridiculous.

Electrician (Rob?) did an amazing, totally professional job. Running the electricity from 1 end of the house to the other was completed like "a work of art". I do feel, however, that we were misled as to the timetable for installation of the generator itself. We signed paperwork in Dec. & were told installation could not happen before we left on vacation 1/7. We understood that. We were then told installation would be scheduled upon our return from vacation 2/1. Well, it didn't happen & our generator was not installed until 3/17. Secondly, when small stone was delivered for the base of the snow stand, our driveway was left strewn with the stone. In our experience, good contractors clean up their own mess! Other than those 2 issues, we are pleased with the job that was done & very happy to have a generator!
