  We are new to Florida and do not have any trade contacts here. ACE was referred by another High quality company. Bob was on time to do the estimate and worked with us to get two heat pumps installed and a complete panel replacement. The cost of the upgrades was exactly what I expected and seamed a fair price for high quality workmanship. The two guys that showed up to do the work were awesome and did a great job. I will be using them in the future for all our electrical needs. Highly recommended.

  Needed a 4 switch outlet repaired, two of switches not working. Electrician spent over two hours trying to figure out the wires. He kept telling me there are a lot of wires here and I have to make sure I figure out what every one of them controls. Absolutely ridiculously slow. Then charges me $500 for the repair. He did fix it so I gave two stars, but this price is absolutely crazy and way over what it should have cost.

We have been one of the most trusted licensed Electrical Contractors in Sarasota and Manatee Counties for nearly 30-years and we take customer concerns seriously. We are happy that we could rectify your electrical issues. The work completed was troubleshooting and repairing outlets, troubleshooting and repairing switches for lanai fans, and troubleshooting and repairing flood light wiring. The invoice total was $479.73 which includes 2.5 hours of labor by a licensed electrician, the price of materials, and a standard travel fee. The switches in question were a 4-gang switch box that was converted to a 2-gang switch box with two stacked switches, leaving wiring for four switches inside a box designed for two. Additionally, one of the switches was a stacked single-pole switch wired for a three-way switch. We also located the low voltage wiring outside of the home and found a faulty transformer. Beau was the electrician on this job, he has been with the company for over 20 years and is one of our most requested (and hardest working) electricians. This is the first time in 20 years that a customer or contractor has described Beau as “slow”. It does take time to be thorough and wire things properly – as well as troubleshoot all the issues outlined in this response, especially when there are four switch legs, two three-way switch legs, neutrals and hots all squeezed into a 2-gang box. In sum, troubleshooting takes time, and we believe 2.5 hours of labor is reasonable for all the work completed. Furthermore, we are transparent about our pricing which was discussed prior to the work being scheduled.   Ace Electric was everything you would expect from a professional company and then some. The technicians, Tommy and Chris were exceptional. They were prompt each day, courteous, professional and clean. Tommy was in the lead. He seems to be very honest and a very very good teacher and mentor for those working with him. I can imagine that he is also a very good father. His work ethic was impeccable. Chris was also very competent, polite and conscientious worker. He and Tommy seemed to make a good team. Tommy explained everything along the way with all the various work to be done. I appreciated this very much as the job was completed with perfection. I will be using Ace Electric again when needed and will absolutely recommend them. Thank you for a job very well done!
