Three times in the past hour our electricity has gone out, this is a constant problem with Aiken Co-Op and has been for all the 26 years I have been back in Aiken.   Having lived in all parts of the country and in other countries this is the most mismanaged organization that I've dealt with when it comes to utilities.

This electric company is the most selfish, and non caring in the world.   The customer service representatives are so hardened to cut you off.    No past due or you will get cut off!!!!  The manager Lucas(A Lady, not sure if that's first or last) was aware I had lost my mother and was having work issues during this covid disease, and there was a kid at home.   I am not past due, my current bill is late 8 says.    My bill last month the was 490.   This month its 239, not that much has changed, anyway.  They cut me off for being late 8 days.   Its that simple.   Selfish and non caring.  Utility companies will reep what they sow when the power runs out.

24 cents a kw?? SERIOUSLY?? Here in FLA,  FPL is 6 cents a kw on peak, my bill in summer with ac cranking  nonstop 24/7 on 73 degrees, in a 2/2 house is $80, all co ops are a rip off and they have a monopoly going by not having any other electric services to choose from in the rural areas, everyone that uses this electric company should vote the whole board out! Its an OUTRAGE! I was going to move here until I saw the reviews and the residential rates!!!!! NO THANKS!

Cant seem to get our deposit back after 13 months. Each person tells us something different.  Never been late. Now we have to wait 16 months wth

The past few months our power bill keeps going up. The last 2 months our bill was over $600 and this next months bill came out and they are saying that we owe them over $900!!! Even my mother in law who has not been home and we only had enough heat on to keep the pipes from freezing has a bill of close to $400. Also when I told them that my husband has just gotten back to work but they still could not help because we have been late on our bill for a while.
The sad part is I can't even get solar panels without cutting all of my trees down to cut down on my bill plus aec doesn't work with the people that do it.
Today I read a report that the company uses solar power from the lake so how is anyone's power bill so high!!! Felling very confused about them right now.

I have literally called this company 3 times in 2 weeks. Each person I speak with tells me the same thing, that my heat needs to be set at 68, no lower and no higher, so I changed my thermostat. I work a full-time job 40+ hours a week, Monday thru Friday. I leave my house at 7:00 A.M. and do not return until 8:00 P.M. as I have a 3 year old I have to pick up from daycare. I'm not home ALL day. I was told that even though my tvs, lamps, etc, were not on, that because they were plugged in the wall they are still using electricity. I unplugged EVERYTHING in my house, even down to my stove. I DO NOT have a washer and dryer, I use the laundromat down the street from my home, yet they tell me that my electricity bill is accurate of almost $400.00 a month and its IMPOSSIBLE. I don't get home in time at night to cook before putting my daughter in bed, so I usually fix her something small to eat as she eats at the baby sitters every night. I REFUSE to keep paying $400.00 a month for a service I'M NOT USING. My water pump runs off electricity but was frozen for 2 days due to the cold weather, yet in those 2 days this company is showing that I somehow still used a massive amount of electricity and that is IMPOSSIBLE. I was told by the last representative that she sees a strong pull of electricity coming from somewhere but shes unsure of where, when I asked if they could have someone go out there to find it, I was told that I would have to pay an additional $40.00 to do so. This company is already ripping me off, so why should I have to pay for someone to fix something that I did not mess up? Mind you, I live in a small 2br 2ba 1100 sqft single wide trailer. I unplug everything every morning before I leave work, and only plug my tvs back up when I get home. They run for typically an hour at night, and are shut off in time for me and my daughter to get in bed. There's no way I'm using $400.00 worth of electricity, and I'm not paying for you guys to come out and fix YOUR problem. I have been living in this trailer since 11/01/2017 and within the last 2 months, I have paid this company $40.00 shy of $800.00, when I'm gone ALL day from home. And they're showing me back at a negative balance AGAIN. I would HATE to see what my electricity bill would look like while actually using the things I own. BIG RIP OFF. The first chance I get to switch to a different company, they will be losing my business.

Great Customer service. They are very helpful especially Bryce. He was super nice and interactive. He was able to reach out to the solar company because we had problem with our solar panels. We look forward to the events that they have for the community and the newsletters. Thank you.

It seems when you use less energy the cost is higher per day! When you use more, the cost is lower! I do not get this. Is it to keep your bill around the same year around?
