  I want to start with the good. As I was applying, the people there were extremely nice and very helpful. Good environment for sure. I give this a 3 for the negative... The negative. I want to explain where I come from so the negative makes sense. I use to be a mechanic. I'm very mechanicaly inclined. I am now a respiratory practitioner by trade. I was trying to leave the medical field for many reasons for a different topic and different time. I had to take college algebra math for my courses and degree.I even use basic algebra for my ventilators I run. When they give you a packet from them saying they only need basic algebra, don't study basic algebra. I studied college level algebra just incase. That way the test would be easier. I get in there and they were using algebra NOT in their study guide or remotely even basic algebra. It was higher than college algebra 2. They said nothing about square roots but there they were mixed in with college algebra 2. I can see why 1/3 of the people taking the test for the entrance exam were there a second time. I'd have no issue doing it again but I'm not waiting six months. That is insane. I know that is JATC and not this places fault. I don't know who is at fault for a terrible study guide but they need fired. I took one of the hardest medical boards in the country. That test there was a slap in the face. A set up for failure if a young man or woman who doesn't want to go to college is trying to get in. They clearly won't be doing college algebra 2 before that exam, if they only took high school.
