  I called them about repairing our dishwasher. The woman we talked to was efficient and courteous, and scheduled someone to be there the next day. The repairman arrived on time and within thirty to forty minutes had the problem identified. I would recommend this place to anyone who needed electrical repair.

  Half our power has been out 3 different LG&E employees have told us get an electrician. Being a crunch, we called Allen. Who said it’ll be 50 to dispatch and check it out. They ran some test told us nothing was wrong and weren’t even on the property for 30 minutes and then charged us 350$ for those test… LG&E can back out and told us we need an electrician. Called the service manager to question the price and tell him our peace. He very politely told me that didn’t happen and we were told the price up front so we should accept this.

  We called Allen Electrical to come out to our house to repair two issues and install a 220 plug in our unfinished basement. Only one issue was repaired. A floor plug had a bad wire and was causing our kitchen lights to go out. The wire was replaced and kitchen lights started working again. This took less than an hour to repair. The other issues could not be addressed at the time. My sister in law was here when the Tech Matt was here and paid the $438 charge ($49 dispatch fee and $389 for the 1 wire repair). After checking with other electrical service companies we have found that we have been overcharged for these services and will not be calling or recommending Allen Electric to anyone.
