Very professional in all aspects of service. We purchased a Generac for our home and established a date for installation. The corporate staff maintained periodic contact with us during the interim prior to the installation which is appreciated. The crew were professional in providing information, installing the Generac, and answering our questions. Finally, they have someone who checks the installation and ensures that everything works as it should and provides additional information to ensure we are satisfied. Outstanding!

My mother-in-law recently built a home and contracted Auxilary Power to install a generator about 12 weeks ago. The unit was installed and services were paid for. They promised to do a follow up and schedule an appointment to show her how to use the unit which never happened. Hurricane Sally arrived and power was lost around 3 am. The generator failed. I braved the storm and made my way over to her home at 830 am that morning to find the gas vales off, error codes flashing on the unit, a dead battery and a unit that was asking for an authorization code. We called generac corporate to activate the unit. I removed my car battery to jump the unit. I had to disconnect the gas line to bleed the system multiple times, remove and re-install the T1 fuse on the transfer switch. After multiple failed cranking attempts, the unit cranked. I flipped the breaker on the unit. . . . House was still with out power. I went to the transfer switch and flipped the breaker, the house had power restored. Fast forward to when service was restored to the street. The generator was still running. Again, I came over, shut off the generator, go to the transfer switch and flip a breaker. . . The house is running off the grid again. 9/21 we called to speak with auxiliary power and left a message with the receptionist, no call back. We called again this afternoon and left another message 3 days later. We will see. After buying the unit and paying an additional $7000 for installation this is not the response we were looking for. Another note, I contacted Auxiliary Power at the time of my mother-in-laws installation to have a quote for my house. The salesman scheduled an appointment and never showed up. I called back to reschedule, no response. Understandably they are busy in Hurricane season and have an 8-10 week lead time on installation but no response. I then decided to order my own generac from home depot and perform my own installation, pull my own permits and handle on my own. 3 weeks later I passed inspection. Guess what?? When my power went out my generator cranked and power was restored. I will not elude to my savings from my own installation but it was significant. I was there when the lineman came to restore power. They inspected my work before turning on power to make sure they we safe and no back-feed. No issue at all and commended me on excellent work. Due to their lack of customer care is the sole reason I'm posting this review. On-site there were cordial, professional and respectful. Customer service after the fact is poor and for that I will never recommend them. 1 bad experience with a quote is one thing but a follow up appointment on a new install after services were paid is another. There are plenty of other reputable companies that will gladly complete and honor their work and follow up on issues. Sorry for the long read but I felt obligated in posting this for others who are thinking of investing quite a bit of money to make an informed decision.

This is the most difficult company to work with i have ever experienced. Non-responsive, have been calling for months for a service and a repair. No call back, no show, nothing. Months they have promised to repair my generator and do a service call. I'm still waiting.
