What is wrong with the people working in this office??? They are intentionally and unnecessarily rude and uncooperative. First off, they can’t look up an account by address…they insist you physically go get a hand-etched number off of some tag on the meter to start service. Then you drive all the way to Moriarty to give them a copy of a deed and this number. What utility company can’t look up an account by address and requires paper copies of things?!? The first person we talked to was Pat and both on the phone and in person, her primary goal was to NOT help us. Here’s a business lesson for the people running this company-you don’t make money if people don’t have service. Don’t make it hard to start service! Then they were supposed to call when they turned it on. They didn’t call so we called the office. Jackie was again as uncooperative as possible. Is the power on? Some intelligible answer about something being done in the office to the meter. So…is the power on? Same unintelligible answer. Is the ^{%%*# power on??? I don’t want to drive 50 miles out there to find out whether the power is on…answer my question and quit being difficult!

I never realized you could live in the developed world and still have constant micro power outages. They even send helpful newsletters telling you they realize they can’t keep the power on and that you may want to buy surge protectors for everything in your home essentially. And the rates are more expensive than public utilities!

Outages every single week. My transformer was hit by lightening almost 3 years ago and still they haven't replaced it, even though they've been made aware. You can actually see the a big black scorch mark down the entire side of the transformer. Right now I'm sitting in my house without electricity for over 2 hours in the middle of the summer heat, no doubt I will be throwing out all the contents of my fridge, again. Called for a status check and was told they will be here "sometime" today, I bet if I didn't pay my bill they would be here 8am on the dot to disconnect though. CNME, you are a burden on this community, hopefully we get some healthy competition to put you in your place.
