  One of the Authority's employees was neglecting his duties and had failed to collect my recyclables, so I contacted the Authority's office. Joanne Shafer responded and was extremely helpful, apologizing for the poor customer service and promising to take action to make sure that collection occurs or that a tag is left explaining what the problem was. Few businesses or government agencies actually respond to customer tickets and even fewer care about what their customers think. The CCRRA is one of the few that does, and Joanne deserves recognition for her exceptional service.

  I go to landfills all over central Pa as part of my job. This is the best one I go to by far! Everyone is very oriented towards a common sense way of working. The scale lady is super fast.

  The hazardous waste collection event during COVID was extremely well run. Great upfront communication, reservation process, instructions, signage, and routing through the facility. And no wait time. Good job!
