Chris and his team at CDS are true professionals, they are very knowledgeable and responsive to the customer. Recently, on the hottest weekend of the summer, my wife and I had planned to stay the weekend on the eastern shore, this was the only overnight we had planned for the year. while prepping the boat in the beginning of the week, we discovered that our A/C had stopped working. One call to Chris and he was able to go down (on two separate occasions) and attempt to remedy the issue at short notice in the few days that we had before leaving. Long story short, the A/C required replacement. In less then a week, he had the new unit. Chris and his team went far out of there way to accommodate us and the service was excellent. I will continue to use this company in the future and would recommend them to anyone who would ask. Thanks again Chris and CDS!

Fantastic Service. I have a 43ft Italian cruiser placed with issues from taking on water. 3 mechanics tried fixing my hydraulic system only to tell me I needed to buy a new $4,500 pump. Chris was able to isolate the issue and resolve the problem without paying $4,500 for a new pump. We put together a game plan to get the rest of my gremlins fixed. I'm ecstatic to know I finally have an honest competent electrician.

Alan, Thank you for the opportunity to work on your yacht. The Cranchi can be difficult to work on, but we enjoy the challenge and getting your systems back online and wired correctly. Regards; Yacht Electronics Systems A division of Chesapeake Dockside Services

In September of 09 I hired Chris to rebuild my inboard engine. I promptly payed Chris well over 10K for materials and labor but my engine keeps breaking down. He talks a good game but bottom line my engine continues to break down! For last two seasons I have not had this engine working properly more than 20 hours in total!

In July 2019, your engine hydro-locked (was full of water) and was no longer serviceable. As agreed, I got your second boat running so you would not be without a boat for the season. 28 Sept, you settled on repairing your engine with a Long-Block upgraded to 5.7 Liters which is replacement engine block with internal components already assembled which came with a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty. 15 Oct 2020, this long-block was received (You ultimately refused to pay for engine shipping fees since it was not in the original estimate). To keep costs down most of your sensors and external components were re-used. 28 October 2019, I re-installed your engine and replaced the MAP sensor, fuel pressure regulator and oil pressure switch to get the engine running. You ultimately refused to pay for these parts since they were not in the original estimate. Nov 4 2019, you agreed to pay the invoice but only after I discounted an additional $1,521.60 which was for work and parts needed but were not in original estimate. Late August 2020 you called stating the engine was not running again. 21 August, I responded as I would any other client to correct the problem. A thorough inspection of your engine revealed a camshaft sensor had failed and there was water and bad gas in the engine and fuel tank. But I confirmed your engine block specification were all correct to run properly (compression, fuel pressure etc. were still good). 22 Sept, 2020, After sending the ECM out for testing to confirm its status (which took several weeks), then replacing the crank and camshaft sensors, cap and rotor for good measure, putting 10 gallons of fresh gas in the newly cleaned tank, changed the oil, replaced the fuel filter and spark plugs (they were a bit off from running bad gas) the engine was up and running again. None of this work was under the manufacturer's warranty and this breakdown ultimately had nothing to do with my work or the parts I provided. After completing this work I discovered you believed that I should be responsible for every part on the entire engine as though the entire engine was completely new and so considered everything I did to be warranty work...including the failure resulting from the bad fuel. On 10 November 2020, you emailed me, "I have decided to give you a full and final payment of 500.00." and "As a post script. I have not and will not post a review of your work if this payment ends our relationship." 16 Nov, 2020 I countered and you agreed to pay $648 of the invoice for the parts I provided which meant I was paid for none of my time, which included weekends and immediate priority over other clients. 21 June 2021, you provided me a one-star review out of nowhere. This "relationship" has by far been the most difficult and hostile of my professional career, including nearly 25 years in the military.
