0 stars. This place is garbage for many, many reason. The automated phone payment system is the most vile system in the world. I'm your average tech savvy millennial and it takes on average of 3 or 4 calls to get a payment processed. I cant image an older individual attempting to use this "super easy pay" system. Every time I saved my information so I can "fast track" future phone payment, it never works. Typical. I almost failed to mention the several times this company misread my electric meter and I had to pay an additional $100 dollars to keep my electricity on even though it was there fault. I pretty much had to pay my electric bill a month in advance due to their incompetence. I am thrilled that I will be able to choose an electrical provider in the next few years. I plan to switch providers as soon as I am able.

Probably the worst electric company and the history of ever. We were required to take in our lease (have never had to do this with lp&l). We moved in on the first and they said it was going to take 72 hours to verify that we were actually going to live there (it was about to snow). Verify what? We had taken in the lease to customer service. What else needed to be verified? Why is it 72 hours? Especially after taking in a lease and an ID. There was no care of concern that we would potentially be out of power. I’m sure if they had to go through the same experience as a customer they would not be happy at all. Other cities have options on different electric companies and Lubbock doesn’t seem to care about the outrageous prices and customer service. Shame on Lp&l and shame on the city of Lubbock. Would give 0 stars if I could. This definitely needs to be addressed. Look at all of your 1 star reviews. Will be filing a complaint with the BBB and whoever else I can talk to. Reading all of the reviews really concerns me, especially about overbilling and shady meter readings. Is anyone going to do anything about this? Probably not.

A company that gets ALL of Lubbock's business you would think they would invest in some customer service. Water admin that never returns voicemails. They do not calibrate their meters. That is why so many people see spikes in their water readings and are over charged. You need to calibrate these things. When there is a sudden spike from 5kgal to 26kgal that should be the first incicator to calibrate. We called the meter manufacturer and they said it was impossible for our meter to run that much water in the time that our readings said. Went to a board meeting to fight the bill they still denied us. Had to threaten to sue the company and they finally came back and said the readings were wrong. We are now dealing with the same thing. Can’t get anyone to call me back . This company has SO much power in Lubbock you have the money to invest in better customer service from the people we talk to on the phone and taking proper care of the meters. Which means calibrate them when you get a call of someone complaining of a spike in their usage. What a poor company to represent Lubbock.
