All I have to say is that I wish I knew ahead of time that these electric power companies only serviced certain areas, and that we had no choice but to work with whoever serviced our neighborhood. This would had made me think twice about where I was buying my house if only i knew ahead of time. Let's just say their customer service is 3/10! Just imagine calling for after hour service due to power outage, and a guy answers your call with a simple and deep "Hellllo! 😡"... and he has an attitude because it seems you've just woken him up from bed 😬! If ANYONE knows how I can return to Xcel energy PLEASE let me know how 😠I've never missed a utility company as much as a I do Xcel!

My service was shut off, wouldn't do a payment plan, and was offered no assistance or resources. So I had to pay with my bank and go $200 in the hole. And on top of it, I had to arrange another payment a week later of just late fees, and other fees that added up to almost $100. Times are tough for everyone and sometimes we just can't pay stuff on time.. So now I'm still getting out of the hole.
