  This company and it’s employees always remain to be top notch. We like so many others had a power failure during this big snowstorm here in Milton Delaware. The men who responded were so polite and professional truly appreciate you Coop you guys are truly the best. Thank you

  Delaware Electric can turn off your power even if you don't owe money or if you haven't reached the due date yet. They are money hungry and do not care about people. Had to pay the fee to turn power back on even though it wasn't supposed to get turned off. They WILL NOT ADD THE FEE TO THE BILL, THEY DEMAND YOU PAY TO GET IT TURNED BACK ON. Up to $172 just to turn it back on the weekends. So the drivers can just ride around and do whatever they want and people will pay. I will be switching to a new company that doesn't try to get over on people at every turn. What a poor excuse for a company. Terrible customer service. Very rude people who do not care about anyone but themselves. The people who had given 5 star reviews saying "I don't understand why there is 1 star reviews" obviously haven't looked at their bills and kept track of what automatically gets taken out of their account. I truly hope that everyone who works at DE have to deal with what I just went through. They wouldn't be so money-hungry then.

  The billing system they use is straight out of 1950... No flexibility to accommodate due dates for fixed income users... Seniors must juggle accumulating pass due fees that DEC refuses to reverse. With seniors struggling between meds, food and keeping a light on... DEC is the only winner... Shame on these people!
