Delays and pretty hefty charges ($300/hr.) left me with a bad taste in my mouth. $9,100 to bring 220 around my home to a jacuzzi seems exorbitant. And we dug the 95% of the trench! The work itself was great.

    Response from the owner

Hi Brad - I'm glad you felt our work was "great", but apologize as we weren’t aware you had concerns with our billing (only learning of it through your feedback here). Please feel free to reach out to us and, as we’ve always done for you, would be happy to go over any concerns together with you and answer any questions you have. If you’d prefer not to reach out to us directly, to do our best to clear up any inadvertent confusion, our labor rates are 100% consistent / in keeping with T&M work we've performed for all of our clients over the past number of years for new installations running wire and requiring two technicians. Due to the extremely long run from your main service panel to the jacuzzi location, material costs for this job were extensive (nearly 40% of the invoice - $3,635.09 of the "$9,100" referenced). However, this invoice also included the costs for all the materials and work our technicians performed to help relocate / install your chandelier, so it wasn't exclusive to the work we performed to assist you with your jacuzzi installation. Additionally, as a courtesy and thank you for the work you've provided us in the past, we did not charge for the time we spent pulling together the permit for your jacuzzi installation, meeting together with the inspector to pass the inspection we had, or the permit fee, in the amount of $249.14, that we paid on your behalf to the local jurisdiction. We don't have the ability to speak to the multiple delays from the jacuzzi manufacturer, but we continually rescheduled days we had set aside and routinely worked to set aside new dates to do our best to react to the changing delivery date. Unfortunately, we didn't have the ability to help out the week it was actually delivered as that was the week after Christmas, which is a long standing traditional week off I give our employees. However, as promised, we were at your home the following week (working to do so as quickly as possible in lieu of the inclement weather we were experiencing at the time). Since the trenching had not been completed from the disconnect box to your new jacuzzi, we let your landscaper know that we could take on that new task for them (to do our best to prevent additional delays for you). Since this required additional time, we worked to get back out to your home as soon as possible to complete your job (and were able to do so the following business week, less than a week later). Again, please feel free to reach out to me directly and I'd be happy to go over everything together with you in greater detail. In the meantime, knowing you chose this venue, I wanted to take the time to address your concerns here and be available to you as we've always been.

Office staff was informative and the owner was responsive if there is a question. The techs that arrived worked professionally and quickly, doing the job better than I had imagined. It was somewhat scary booking an appt with only a ballpark estimate, but the work was done quickly but correctly and I was a happy customer.

Roger was a good friend of mine in the past. That all changed when I received a bill over 2 years ago for work I never authorized and was not described. We had some personal issues in the past but I never expected this. I spoke with their office manager for a description of the invoice with no result. In fact the only reply I received was pay or go to collection. Over the last 2 years many collection companies have contacted me regarding the collection. All East Bay Electric gave them was a bill with no description of what it was for. After informing them of the situation they sent it back to East Bay Electric. The latest collection company, Dynamic Legal Recovery, had Luis Fernandez call me. After I spoke with Luis he said they had no intention of taking me to court over a small amount of $1597.85. He did say this will go on my credit report. I asked his company not to contact me again on which he agreed. He advised me to put this in writing and send it to him so he will not waste his time. Ask yourself why is Roger wasting his time on a false bill he will never collect or win in court? There is no money in it for him. I am a Senior Citizen and my wife has cancer. I am sure anyone who reads this review can find a much better company with less drama.
