  My bill has gone from $130 a month to $500! They instantly told me something has to be breaking in my house to use that much electricity. I explained that all the appliances are newer and that the ac and heat pump had just been serviced. Then they claimed it was low temperatures and I was prepared with graphs to show the temperature difference was not significant enough to justify that claim. Then they claimed this is the normal price compared to last year…. The original owner last. Year was dead at that point. I’m sure he wasn’t running up a huge bill. No one will help us. They only thing that has changed is their new meter and I believe it’s faulty. They will check it but will charge you $50 If nothing is wrong with it But the only people who can tell you that something is or isn’t wrong with it is them. So of course they will say nothing is wrong. I’m at a complete loss of hope. If you are considering moving to Elizabethton don’t. This is my biggest regret. $500 a month electric when my mortgage is only $618.

  I want to know why my mothers light bill went up $130.00 from last month. She's done nothing different! I thought the digital boxes would not increase bills. So tell me how does a light bill double in a month? This is ridiculous. Someone needs to do something amount this. I hate that she lives in Elizabethton. The ELIZ ELECTRIC SYSTEM IS STEALING PEOPLE'S MONEY. Pure And simple

  I received a bill that is 746 dollars. My bill is usually 150. They said “ wow that’s 5 times your normal usage.” I asked and you don’t see a problem. They responded yeah you should have someone check your house out. Absolutely ridiculous. How can this company be allowed to be this terrible.
