  Borderline scammer at best. Mike or Malak Hanna charged me $200 for a “hard reset” of the main breaker, which was a “hard” push of the main breaker to the off position then push to the on position. I had an issue with the GFCI outlets in the house and I thought it was the breaker. Went and bought a new one then after switching the main off and on, no power to the entire house. It was getting late and I was frustrated and afraid that we’d have to do without so I called up the closest neighborhood electrician. Agreed to the $75 service call which by the way should have been the fair price for the whole service. Instead he came out asking first for $575 to replace the main breaker which he said was broken. I hesitated and agreed to pay him $75 and call others to get a second opinion. Before he left he offered me a second option of “hard resetting” the main which he quote “might” restore power at the price of $200. $200 sure sounds a lot better than $575 and it was already dark, it was frustrating and I wasn’t thinking right so I agreed. Malak, I bet you already know that hard resetting would’ve worked or at least you should’ve tried that first before asking $575 to replace it. Instead, greed got the better of you and you wanted more. Sure, being a skilled electrician is not easy, but trying to get more for what it’s worth is greed. I don’t care what situation you are in to but this is not how a person lives. If I run out of money to feed my children tomorrow I am not going to start robbing other people. I am really mad at myself more than anybody else. Stupid me for not knowing how the breaker works, I could’ve done this all by myself. And I should’ve researched more instead of jumping into hasty decisions. Buyer beware!
