Here we are on our anniversary of 48 years. With no power. Senior citizens just had our power cut off. Customers of Gulf Power for 33 years NEVER had our power cut off! We had not received a bill, notice, text, or e-mail that our account was over due.Technician shows up cuts our power, we tried to tell him we had not received a bill, call or notice! Here we sit in the dark and cold. We immediately called the 800 # put the charge on our card and was told that they have 24 hr. to turn it back on! What the heck.Oh and you cannot reach customer service, cannot get past robot answer service.

Oh. Let's talk about FPL My bill went up $125 we used the air less this month then any other month. We paid our bill. Thinking everything is normal. Had a confirmation # of bill paid. Turns out never took out of our account. Shuts power off at 330pm mind you I have 5 children here. They won't turn power on for 24 hours. WE HAD CONFIRMATION THAT OUR BILL WAS PAID. Guess what I just paid it again. Still didn't process out of our account. But I have a confirmation number again. And apparently power due to come on by 330pm. It is control. We paid our bill. They have a new system and it's a failure. Why should my family suffer at their system error. It's all power and control. I hate this place!

Went out of town, only to come home to my power being shut off… no email, call, letter in the mail, or any sort of notification that my power would be shut off.. all of my food in the fridge is garbage now, and I just spent the night with no power all because they messed up my address in the application, we have called multiple times to ensure our bill was paid and up to date and were assured that it was never missed any payments but now we suffer because of a mistake on FPL end … customer service is a joke, nothing but automated voice machines and once you finally get in touch with an actual person they transfer you to a automated response line that hangs up in your face, I have called 5 x. With as much military personnel living in the area you would think service would be a bit more helpful but it’s not at all.. terrible company.
