I recently moved and my home had many two prong ungrounded outlets. They had someone come out and give an estimate and then several days later I had someone come out and quickly change out the outlets. It’s important to support local businesses but even more important to support local businesses that are really good! I’m very happy with the work they did!

So happy with Greg from GJC Electric! Another company said it would take all day to fix. Greg diagnosed and fixed the problem in one hour! Professional, friendly, honest and reasonably priced! I will definitely use them the next time I need any electrical work done.

I love working with GJC Electrical doing projects for my company. The pricing is fair, the work is quality and they always make sure to go the extra mile to see that the customer satisfied. That means a lot to us as part of a project or as a personal call. We will continue to work with GJC Electrical because great service is hard to find! GJC was contract by American Home Shield and dispatched to my home for an issue with my panel, couldn't and still cannot turn off the electricity. I was charged $100 by AHS to have someone sent.

Two technicians arrived and confirmed the main break was malfunctioning, then went to their van to discuss with the manager. There was also no discussion with me prior to them calling the warranty company to discuss what would be needed to repair the issue.  After 15 or so minutes, they came back to my door to inform me that the issue was not covered. Citing water damage.

The panel is located in my basement. There are NO signs of flooding, and or water damage anywhere else in the basement. Any moisture in the panel was from the service line, which means the drip loop and/or weather guard failed. (Components of the system, not listed in the exclusions on the warranty contract)

I asked the the technicians not leave until I was able to speak with someone from the warranty company. They again said they will talk to their manager, then proceed to back out of my driveway.

I asked for an explanation of what was discussed with AHS, they said i would be contacted at a later time.

In talking with the technicians, i found out they had 8 to 9 other calls to complete today. This shows they had no intention of making any repair, their goal was to diagnose the issue as something uncovered by the warranty company and move to the next job as fast as possible.

I find it shady that i was not included in conversations the technicians had with AHS or their manager. And that they went to their van to make phone calls.

I think its terrible they would leave a house when there is an unsafe condition present within the electrical system.

**RESPONSE TO OWNER**

A second opinion was obtained and the panel was fixed under warranty by a different company.

Michael I am sorry you are upset that your warranty company did not allow us to make the repairs. How it works is we are dispatched to come out to your property by your warranty company. We then call what we find and the price to make the repair into the warranty company. We as the technicians dont have or know your warranty company contract. The warranty company tells us wether or not they will pay us to make the repairs. In your case the warranty company did not give us authorization to make the repair which means they will not pay us to make the repair. I completely understand your upset but us as a company have no control over if your warranty company pays us to make the repair. Also I explained to you that a job your size requires a permit and inspection with the township, which means it can not be completed same day. We schedule our techs to go to multiple stops a day yes, we also have multiple trucks on the road if we run into something that takes longer and needs more attention but again if a permit is required that is not something that can happen same day. As for why the warranty company did not authorize us to do the work it was due to water damage. We are required to take pictures of our findings. There are water Mark's running down your breakers and rust on the screws of the breakers and in the bottom of the electrical panel. We have to report our findings back to the warranty company in order to get paid for the repairs. Once again I'm sorry your upset but us as a company does not control what your warranty will cover and wont cover.

I use Greg and his team for all of my personal and business electrical needs. Being an active Real Estate agent  I have client's requiring the service of a reliable electrician and often times on short notice that requires quick results. I never hesitate to recommend Greg,  he's just the kind of referral business partner you need especially for demanding customers. I had them come out 3 times.I was told they needed to cut into my ceiling to get to the box. Well, nothing was able to be done. I went with GMH and my electric in the rest of my house is on. 3 times GJC came outand they could not fix it and now I have unnecessary holes in my ceilings for nothing. GMH, did not cut into ANYTHING and my power is back one. I have been back and forth for almost a year with GJC and my insurance. I'm def cancelling my Home warranty that led me to GJC.

I have used GJC Electric on two occasions and cannot say enough about the quality and professionalism of this company. For that reason I called for an emergency electrical repair. The lights in my house were dimming and fearing it had something to do with the service cable I called PECO. Upon arrival at 4 pm they deemed the service cable unsafe and shut off the power!  I was able to reach Greg and he flew into action. Within 1 1/2 hours he was on site, with all the supplies to replace the meter box. He collaborated with PECO and was able to restore power before nightfall. It was AMAZING!  His can do attitude saved the day!
I had used his service the first time ( he was referred by a friend who also had a great experience) and he did a great job on the electrical wiring of my kitchen and bath remodel.
Professional, knowledgeable, personable, fair pricing and neatness all come to mind. I highly recommend!

GJC is great and I would highly recommend them. For 3 years the light in my ceiling fan didn’t work- the fan did but the light would randomly work for a minute and then cut off. I had a few people come check it out but just had a bad feeling about them. Finally set up an appointment with GJC and Greg came right on time, was very professional and within minutes diagnosed the problem as a bad circuit board. He gave me a few options (replace the fan, call the company for a new circuit board or install a universal remote) and let me chose. I chose install the universal remote. About 5 minutes later he called me to check it out and it works! The light has literally changed the room in the best way!! I am so happy every time I turn the lights on. He also diagnosed a few non working outlets and showed me the problem- the reset button on the kitchen outlet was actually linked to the other few and caused them to not work. When he hit reset it was magic and they all worked. Gregs price was great and my problems were solved. I highly recommend Greg and GJC for any electrical need! Already scheduled them to add some recessed lighting in my living room. Thank you!
