  Mr. Jarrard at Gray's Auto Electric pointed me in the right direction. Rather than rebuilding the original starter for a family members 7.3 diesel engine, he highly recommended moving to a superior later model starter which turns the fly wheel far better and faster than the original starters that came on these engines. Gray's Auto Electric is a great business with quality service and expertise in their advertised areas. Starter and alternator service is a dying breed of business and they are getting harder and harder to find. It is great to see a business like this thriving.
