  Negative 100 stars. Two of the outlets and light switch in our house were not working all of a sudden. We have an old house so we thought we need to get an electrician. We found this company on Angie's List. We called and we were told they will come to check the problem for free and give us a quote. They came over, didn't look at anything, and told us it would cost $266 for a diagnostic and easy fix. We became suspicious. They looked at our circuit breaker box. We asked them how much to change two outlets with GFCI. They said the whole thing would cost $600+. We became more suspicious and said no. Then they lowered it to $400+. We said no because it felt shady. When they left. After reading things on the Internet, we decided to go to the circuit breaker box and turned off everything and turned it all back on, and then voila, the outlets and light switch that was broken is now working. So these people were gonna charge us hundreds of dollars to turn the switch back off and on?

  I'm sorry that you did not feel you received the quality of service that we strive to provide for all of our customers. In reply to this review and others reading this please understand that we did dispatch a technician for free to evaluate the initial problem of some plugs not working, upon doing an initial evaluation we noticed a breaker tripped, it is our policy to recommend a full circuit diagnostic ($266) to ensure the wiring that the tripped breaker is controlling is safe before turning it back on, this is important for the safety of the home as the breakers job is to protect the wiring and the cause of the initial tripping should be diagnosed, as far as the other requested work by the homeowner, our pricing is well within the regional price guide for this type of call and repair.   Marcus was very knowledgeable, professional, and polite. He was great about making sure we were on the same page before he started drilling the wall for my outdoor fountain outlet. He was great about explaining everything for me and testing everything as well. The office staff was so helpful, efficient, and accommodating. They have a great system for letting you know the technician is on their way, including a photo so you'll know who will be knocking on your door. These guys are top notch-- I would hire them again.

  Great Electrical work done here at our home. We requested several electrical power outlets to be installed and thats exactly what we got. Our Technician Tony came on time and was very knowledgeable about the services we needed. I would recommend Gubruds to anyone looking for Electrical work at their home.
