  I have pay as you go account . Ive been cut off for a penny ! I originally asked to have my yard light on the pole activated but it never worked so i assumed they never activated it ? After a year a came home and noticed the light was finally working ? So i called them and asked them what the deal was why it took them a year to turn the light on ? They told me they have been charging me for a year and the light never worked a day until the day they came and serviced it over a year later ? So i called them and notified them that this was the firdt time my light had ever been on ? They told me theres nothing they can do i got charged a year for nothing and they wouldnt even credit me all that money ... she told me well they dont check to see if the lights working when they turn it on sorry but theres no refund or credit ??

  Our power will go out on random days of the month (each and every month). Even when the weather is perfect in our county and state, our power will go out. The electric bill is through the roof. It’s very disappointing, especially when you live in a small house. I’ve called to talk to them about what I could do to possibly lower the bill, but they were rude about the situation. In the end, nothing could be done to lower our bill. All in all, we aren’t happy with the service we receive from Halifax electric company. The power isn’t reliable, the price is way too expensive and the employees are very rude.

  I am very dissatisfied and wish i could switch companys this is crazy can never get more extensions than one a year and some of us are on fixed income and they sending 800 light bills charging what they want and you can only get few days or they will cut you off what kind of company gives no lead way at all I will be contacting the CEO or channel 5 news due to such mess Progress Energy should take over and buy out this terrible company
