  Does good work when he shows up. I’ve been hiring him since 2012. I may have used him when I owned an Inn during the early ‘00’s. It’s hard to find good service people on Whidbey island, especially when they are in demand. Many lack any form of professionalism at the best of times. When Hammond gets busy he gets downright rude and insulting to his customers. He got rude and insulting to me this last time because I asked for an estimate on replacing all the electrics on a community well that was built in 1990. I had the audacity to follow up my original call and ask when I might expect him to visit. I needed some info as yearly dues were coming up and I wanted to budget the work for 2021 and ensure the community had it covered. Result is the community has no idea of the cost and will have to bare the cost extra and out of pocket if we have a problem. I used to be one of his customers. He suggested I find another electrician. I did. It’s just not worth having to put up with inconsiderate customer service, rude behavior, and zero follow-through.

  Hammond installed the 240V line to our septic system some years ago; prompt, efficient, competent. A month or so ago I had an issue with an interior light fixture (small job); I called and Hammond sent someone to fix it a day later. Again, prompt, efficient, competent. My experiences with other electricians on the Island has not been as good. Recommended.

  This company is absolutely horrible! Cocky, arrogant, no customer service. Showed up to my job site to review the second phase of electrical installation. I asked him a simple question:" when can you start?" He ranted after saying, "I don't know", and went on to complain how he has "four guys and six jobs, all of which are behind schedule.'" Turns on his heel and walks off the job. Not my problem, Dude. Run your business efficiently. Go to Island Electric And Sign...they deliver, on time, as promised.
