  I am now 56 years old and the first thing that I had rebuilt by them was either a Ford 8N tractor generator or my 57 Chevy generator power steering pump combo. I was 16 when I had those rebuilt and lived in Peoria. When these guys are gone the world will be a darker place. Anybody that is comparing price and doesn’t realize that you are comparing American craftsmanship on rebuilds to Chinese volume pricing at an auto parts store is mistaken. They are not unfriendly -they are quiet older guys. Simply walk in to their waiting area and see the large and small and all oddities of starters and electrical rebuilds laying around and then look at how far people have driven them to get them repaired and you will see these guys are a disappearing gem from our business landscape. not only in Knox County but in the United States. Turnaround time is normally amazing. Anything that has failed after rebuild is quickly apologize for and attempted again. A lot of great people work there and they are all priceless in their knowledge. The older large volume auto repair shops in our area would rather have Harvey rebuild an electrical item then try their luck on an auto parts store rebuild.
