  Absolutely unreal how much they are allowed to charge for electric service and security deposit. Unfortunately, since we don't have other options we are forced to allow this company to legally rob us. $500+ for one month of electric and over $400 security deposit to transfer service to a new location. My account is current, but because I was late on payments a few times they rob us of the money we work so hard to earn.

  Hi Crystal, the months of January and February were a bit colder than we have had in recent years, with the majority of both months having below average high and low temperatures. This contributes to higher energy usage as heating units have to work harder to keep up. We also offer whole house energy audits to help find areas you can save on your bill, if you are interested. As for the security deposit - our records show that we offered multiple ways to avoid the deposit, but you chose to not take the options available.   Haywood EMC has been very good about keeping the tress and brush off the lines in my area on top of a mountain they stay on it, Did have some mishaps here or there over a 6 year period one time the bill was $186,000 Monthly bill definitely a mishap i about flipped out and they made sure to call me immediately and get it corrected before charging me. Anytime theres been an issue they've been straight up with me and helped to resolve it. Sometimes Peak winter it can be a bit costly I'd like to see the pricing be more competitive but they've overall been good to me. If i call about something they're on it. Ive never missed a payment with them. They've took care of my power needs.

  This place is so gross!!!! Now that I’ve gotten started, this place is so outrageously expensive for just power. Threatens to cut my power off because im not gonna pay a very high price to keep my lights on, sorry. This is so expensive, why? And the people who work at this destination fit right in!!! Eat another dang donut while your sitting there whynot?!! This just fits right in haywood county, how horrible can a place even be?
