This review is for Home Depo in Cape Coral, Fl. I had Honda weed trimmer for repair out for about 6 weeks. Ten days later its started to do the same thing not able to work with it. I when back to the store because they have 90 days limited service warranty. The customer service unbelievable no words. If you read your tool repair service agreement it is clearly says Home depo will repair any defects due to its faulty workmanship, including the replacement of necessary parts and materials, at no charge to customer. Service department representative insisted I have to pay again for tool repair evaluation 20$ and initial their $100 pre-approval amount. So basically there is no 90 day warranty? No one seems to be familiar with their tool repair agreement nor they care. Store manager was not interested with my concerns. He or she was just relying messages through their supervisor. I can not believe he or she is the. manager for Home Depo.

I recently purchased backsplash and other materials at the Cape Coral, FL store and had them installed by a Home Depot contractor. There were many issues with this installation, mostly involving the process to schedule the installation. I purchased the materials on a Saturday and was told by store personnel the installer would call me to schedule installation. I received an email stating the same thing from the installer on Monday from the general manager of USIG, the installer. In this email he stated "My goal is to exceed your expectations and earn a "10" rating." Now that the install is complete, I feel they earned a 3 at best. USIG did not call me until Wed, 3 business days after I purchased these materials. I should have been contacted on Monday. I never got the call because USIG did not call the phone number I gave Home Depot, instead calling my old land line which is not in use and was supposed to be deleted from my acct. by Home Depot. USIG sent me an email instead of calling the proper number, which makes no sense to me if USIG is really interested in good customer service. I had to call USIG at the number in the email they sent to me saying they couldn't contact my old land line number, and the number they gave in their email was not correct for the office doing my installation. Can't even get that right. Once the install was scheduled, I received an email to confirm the install date and stating I would get a call the day of my installation confirming the install window, which was from 8-11 am. I never received a confirmation call. When I again had to call USIG to confirm the install at 10 am, I was told the installer was on his way to the office to pick up my paperwork and would be there soon. When he still had not arrived after 45 minutes I called USIG AGAIN and was put on hold for over 10 minutes, so I hung up and called back, and was told "Oh, I thought someone was taking care of it." Put on hold again, after 5 minutes I gave up and called the regional mgr. of USIG. The installer showed up 21/2 hours later. When I questioned him why, he said because it was raining and he didn't know how to get to my home. These have to be two of the lamest excuses ever! This has to be some of the poorest customer service I have ever had to deal with, and what makes it worse is that no one at Home Deot seems to care at all. I have never been contacted since the install by either Home Depot or USIG for feedback on my experience. Home Depot has a responsibiltiy to their customers to ensure they are satisfied with both their products and the installation of these products, but the impression I have from my experience is that once I gave Home Depot my money and they sent my order to the installer, they don't care what happens after that. I will NOT be recommending Hope Depot to my friends and associates after this extremely poor experience.

On November 18th, 2016 I went to Home Depot to purchase a wall oven. My husband and I paid for them to come and measure. On November 23rd we finally received a call they were coming on Nov. 25th and would call with a time. Well, they showed up without calling but luckily our son was home. The following week we took the measurements back to home depot and ordered the size oven needed per the measurements. After another week the oven was delivered and dumped on our living room floor. We were told the installers would contact us, as we had already paid for the oven and installation in full. The installers showed up the next morning without a call ahead, again my son was home so they came in and told us the oven was the wrong size and the cabinet would have to be cut. I called home depot, not very happy of course as we had paid for the measuring to make sure this would not happen. This started 2 more weeks of being jerked around, more measurements and installers and nothing able to get done. I called customer service in Atlanta and they screwed it up also. I told them we needed a carpenter to get the oven installed correctly but they just sent another installer. Now it is 4 days before Christmas and no oven. On Dec 23rd a carpenter came out and told us the oven was absolutely the wrong size and he could do nothing! I spoke with Brian the manager again and he assured me he would order the right size but of course I have no oven for Christmas. He did offer to send a countertop oven out but I refused. I did not want the responsibility of a loaner oven, at this point I was fed up and trusted no one. After Christmas I got another phone call from Brian stating he could order me the oven but it was my responsibility to get a carpenter and electrician as they didn't have anybody who could do it and their installers, electricians or carpenters were not returning any of his calls. This is the WORST customer service I have ever received. DO NOT buy appliances from home depot. It is now the end of December and after 5 weeks of stress, missing work and daily phone calls I am right back to where I started from. Lowes will have my business from now on. Years ago I ordered 3 major appliances from them and all were delivered and installed within a week with no problems. Thanks home depot for nothing! I gave you 1 star because I couldn't give you a zero!
