i ordered flooring that was suppose to be delivered 3-4 weeks(estimate) On the fourth week they called and said it was delivered but when we went to pick it up they told us that there has been a mistake.. we asked to talk to the general manager, but they kept telling us he wasn't there and kept making excuses. so we declined the order and had to buy it from somewhere else which wasted my time and money. Second, i wanted to to install new carpets to my house they told us that they would come by to measure it, when the day came they postponed the date because they were "busy" if you're busy, then why take appointments? instead try to hire more staff that might help! if you are looking to get flooring done and need to my supplies i DO NOT recommend "The Home Depot", the staff love to act idiotic and never take responsibility, they try to blame it on you or someone else. Isn't customers always right?

We order cabinets from here and the guy told me it would come 3-4 weeks (estimated), you would think it would come during that 3-4 weeks period but it came in month late bc of shipping company, the flooring we ordered was suppose to come in 2-3 weeks (estimated) we ordered February 2 2016 and it still hasn't came in! They said in this district there is so many Home Depot stores so it's usually late, Home Depot is a really big company, if you have a big company then you should have a bigger staff!

Having recently moved here, I found myself needing new carpet. I went to Home Depot, as I had a 15% coupon to use. I had to wait almost 40 minutes to speak with a rep from the carpet department as she was engulfed in a training session with who I later learned was the Department manager. It then took another 45 minutes to get a quote, as the Dept manager kept interupting the sales person with questions. When we were almost done I asked the sales person to repeat the quote. She handed me a quote which had the wrong style carpet and my name was misspelled. I ask her to correct the information, which she did on the computer. I had to go over the order with her several times because she was so distracted. When I left, I thought I had gotten a fair price although I was disappointed with the customer service. She scheduled the carpet measure people to come and measure a few days later. I chose a carpet that they insisted could be installed within seven working days because I was in a hurry to move in to my new condo. The day before they were to measure they called to tell me that they would have to postpone the measurement for another week due to the hurricane. I understood that could not be helped. They scheduled it for one week later although I could not move into my home until the carpet was done. When the hurricane did not hit our area they called to tell me they would have to postpone it one more time from Wednesday until Saturday. I explained I could not get into my house and asked them to schedule me earlier. When they finally came to measure the young man was very good and called in the quote immediately. The surprise came when the company called me back and quoted me $600 higher than the original quote even though the measurements were off by less than 2 yards. To make this very long story short, I went into the store and went through four people only to be told that the new price was the price and that I must have misunderstood. When I kept asking for a manager, I finally reached the department manager who told me that she could do nothing about the misquote. She also stated that the store manager agreed with her making me feel as though I had lied about how far off the original quote was. I left the store very disgusted having been put off for two more weeks in my attempt to buy carpet. Then I drove down the street to a local carpet store, Carpet One, who had been in business for over 38 years in Panama City. There I met a woman named Crystal who gave me a quote on a better quality carpet, gave me wonderful service in 15 minutes, and ordered the carpet the same day. That was a Friday at 5 o'clock. By Tuesday at noon I had brand new carpet at a better price and a better quality than Home Depot offered. By the way, the manager did call me and try to make things right, but I am all about customer service and Home Depot did not deliver. In the future, I will stay away from shopping big box stores and shop local stores where care about their customers! This was a lesson well learned!
