Electrician called me a Karen in a parking lot at chick-fil-a in Peoria, after I was hit by an aggressive drive who fled the scene. I wouldn’t want anyone like that in my home. Please do your research on this business and the type of people they employ.
Response from the owner
Hi Lauren, thank you for letting us know about this incident. This is obviously not the type of interaction any company wants to hear about, and we do not tolerate rudeness here at J-Horn Electric. Could you please tell me which electrician this was? Even a description of the vehicle they were driving would be helpful to determine who this was. What date did this happen? Since this is the 1st we are hearing about this, we will be sure to look into this. Please feel free to reach out to our company directly if there are any other concerns. Merry Christmas! After reaching out to all other parties involved, it appears the incident in question had nothing to do with our business at all. Apparently you were bumped in a drive thru line at the Peoria Chick-fil-A where our electrician was working on an outdoor outlet for that location. After multiple pleadings by both Chick-fil-A staff, managers, other (trapped) patrons in the extremely long drive thru line, and our electrician who was also trying to work, you refused to pull forward and address the issue with the driver behind you in the parking lot and in a civil matter. According to witnesses, there was quite a scene and ordeal caused while the lady hit was screaming and swearing at those around her that she wanted police on scene (not calling them herself, and refusing to pull forward). After a long while of listening to the berating of the drive thru staff, our electrician did inform the driver that she was behaving like a Karen and asked her to pull forward and give the kids working the drive thru and those trapped in line a break. He did not swear at anyone, did not threaten anyone, just tried to diffuse the situation at hand. I apologize for any hurt feelings by him calling you a "Karen", and hope you find the driver who, according to witnesses, did actually drive off once your husband graciously moved your vehicle for you. Once again, we do wish you all the best, and a very Merry Christmas.

The invoice supplied was not itemized, so when it states supplies you have no idea what supplies they claim they used. Nor do you know what was charged for each item used. The first crew that showed up had a guy that if he never comes back to the property it is fine with me. They were to install an electric meter on the newly installed panel and it was installed incorrectly and had to be corrected. The job has only been completed 2 days and I have received two emails and a phone call requesting payment. Seems a bit pushy to me, especially when the due date showing on the invoice is still a few days away. The USPS takes time to work. There was no pre agree upon payment agreement. None of the employees asked for any payment before they left the property. The payment was not past any payment date.
Response from the owner
Hi Tom, we appreciate your feedback, and wanted to take a moment to address your concerns. Our invoice was electronically sent to you (only email correspondence) because you neglected to pay the electricians at time of service (as was previously agreed upon), so it became necessary to bill you through our electronic billing system. We bill through Quickbooks, which shows when invoices have been opened and viewed. It did not show as opened on our end, so you were then given a courtesy call to make sure you had received the invoice and see if we could swing by and pick up a check, since we were already outside of the agreed upon payment terms. We do not line item invoices, as all materials have been outlined and discussed in detail at the time of written proposal (which the final invoice came in under on price). If you had any questions, we would have been happy to go over everything again, in detail, had you reached out to us. In the same way, we would have been happy to address any concerns with our employees had you reached out. We take our customer service seriously and strive to do the best job possible for all of our customers. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any other concerns, and we would be happy to address them immediately. Have a wonderful day!

J-Horn Electric installed all of our new lights in our business and hung and wired our sign out front. Spencer and his crew are amazing and we highly recommend them! They worked with our ever changing timeline to make sure everything was up and going for our grand opening without delay.
