Kirby Electric did some residential work for me in Brevard County. The owner did a fantastic job with his estimate, coming in slightly lower than his competitors. He was very attentive to our needs and was willing to accommodate minor changes in the plans without significant cost changes after construction started. His team was highly professional and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be using them for our next electrical/construction project.

This company was wonderful to work with. Chad replaced several light fixtures in my home, including interior and exterior lighting, and rewired a switch to allow dual control of a new outdoor fan. My appointment was scheduled in less than a week, the pricing was extremely fair, and the technician arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. He even taught me more about the types of ceiling light fixtures and bulbs, and the pros/cons of each. I will absolutely call this company again the next time I need service, and would recommend them to all my friends and neighbors in the Orlando area!

I have used Kirby in my commercial business and residential home for years. There is now new management. My experience in the last year has been extremely unsatisfactory. They are disorganized. Don't return calls. Didn't complete the last job, which I paid in full for and then they wouldn't come back to complete the job??? I no longer recommend Kirby Electric.

    Response from the owner

I apologize that you had an unfavorable experience with us Jim, and I appreciate the opportunity to address this with you through a Google review. I would, however, like to correct some of the information in the concerns you have listed. You hired us in the summer of 2020 to wire a project at your home that you wanted to do in phases. We provided you with a Time-and-Material quote that would allow for the best possible pricing option to fit the type of work you requested. You initially hired us to rough-in the electrical wiring at your detached garage, which we did and you promptly paid for per our agreement in Sept 0f 2020. You told us to stop there as there was other work you needed to have finished first before we could install devices and lights. You were also supposed to have pulled an owner permit for the work that we were to complete per our agreement. You initially noted that you did not want inspectors walking around your property out of concern for finding other unrelated issues you may have to fix. To date, there has still been no permit pulled and the previous work has not been inspected. After the initial work we completed and you paid for, you did not try to contact us again until April 23rd of 2021, where you left a voicemail. You called again on April 30th but did not leave any message. Our office then spoke to you on the phone on May 5th when you requested us to return to start the next phase of work you needed. Our office explained that we could not schedule your work for at least 3-months and even provided you with (2) other local Electrical Contractors that we highly recommend. You became irate and started cussing and yelling at my staff. She tried to provide a solution for you and you hung up on her after you were finished venting. That was our last correspondence with you according to our system records. Again Jim, you had been a valued customer since 2011 and we are certainly sorry that this situation did not work out better for you. We did close our service department for most of 2021 as we were rebuilding the structure of our company in order to align better with our future goals and vision. Unfortunately, you requested more work during that time. I do wish you the very best for 2022 and hope that you did get your project completed and inspected.
