  Jason Kirkwood of Kirkwood Electric did some work for us a while back, and we couldn’t be happier with his work and service. The work was done well, promptly, and at a GREAT price! I highly recommend Kirkwood Electric if you’re looking for a good electrician and value!

  I had called for an estimate to have a thermostat moved in my office. He came and told me he would charge me an hourly rate and that it could take anywhere from two hours to all day (the you know these old houses, you never know what you are getting into line) and there would need to be two people for the job so the rate would be double. On top of that he wouldn't wire it into the boiler because he didn't do HVAC work and recommended I call an HVAC outfit to do that part. He never gave me anything in writing but was insistent that he put me in the books for the following week even though I told him I was looking to have someone do the whole job. I had called for a couple estimates like you are supposed to do and the others that came gave me a written estimates with a solid price upfront and would wire the boiler. So I called Kirkwood back and told them that I had someone who was able to do the entire job and I would not need their services, I thought that was the nice thing to do and who would expect me pay two separate people to do one job. I didn't think anything of it really. Obviously so since I just called Kirkwood today at 9 am as I had a celling light that needed some work. Kirkwood called me back at 1pm and asked me if he did work for me before. I told him no but he came for a thermostat at my office. He was short with me and said you canceled with me. I said yes, I found a guy to do the whole job. He said he wouldn't do any work for me since I canceled on him. Well, ok then. Glad I didn't bring this guy on to do any work as I'm afraid to see how he would have stuck it to me for something as simple as a thermostat where he needed two guys and all day to do it. Guess I got lucky on that one.

  I recently had to call around to many local electricians in the area in order to find someone who could disconnect a supply drop and reconnect it in the same visit. After a bit of calling around I happened across Kirkwood Electric which I've seen his truck around dozen's of times but never knew anyone to have experience with him.. so I figured after getting prices and such he was the best in the area for the time frame I needed.. which was A.S.A.P. We were to meet around 11AM but he ran into some issues and realized he had to buy the connections needed to do my service and called me and let me know he was going to be a little behind and would call me when he could come over. This was no issue for me and it all worked out in the end. He climbed up the pole and had it done in less than 30 minutes. I would highly recommend this electrician if you are in the area and are looking for someone responsible, honest and affordable. Tell him Dave sent ya from a google review! :)
