  I invited them over to replace 3 working outlets with GFCI and one switch. Something that would be easy and quick as the owner said. Instead it took them an hour and half for their journeyman to go back and redo the apprentices work. In the end they wanted to charge me $140 an outlet for six hours of labor. This should has been an easy cheap job regardless of their rates.

  We appreciate all of our customers. We make sure to go above and beyond in trying to give the customer the best possible service at competetive rates. Brian had a couple items he could not fix himself and called our office. Our rates were disclosed and Brian agreed to schedule the repairs with us. After disclosing our service rates and completeing the service call to his satisfaction, Brian felt our service rate was unfair and that professional electricians should only charge $50/hr. Unfortunately that rate has not been seen in Idaho for more than 18 years.

  Persistance pays! This was not a cut and dry type service call. It took a few days to troubleshoot and isolate the issue but we found it. Very happy we could help you and your family. Thank you for your kind comments.

  Regarding my visit with Mackey Electric: The conversations was professional and worth my time the moment I stepped into their office. The amount of information and advice they gave me was phenomenal. I am trying to save money and do as much work on my own as possible. They discussed with me many different options. I hope to use their services in the future.
