Marc and his team, principally Brian (19 year employee) willingly go the "extra mile" to efficiently, competently, neatly and politely complete our residential electrical jobs including state of the art LED lighting and projects that involve technology advances. Marc has set a high professional standard that I value. His billing charges are appropriate. I recommend Mendelson Electric without hesitation.

We have worked with Mendelson Electric for nearly 20 years through the substantial remodeling of 4 older houses. These houses ranged from a 4 bedroom home near Schenley Park to a 6 bedroom home, with barn/kennel and guest house on 30 acres. What I love about these guys is that they treat the safety of my home the same as they would their own homes. When there is an issue in which I must make a decision (and there invariably is in remodels of older homes), we talk it over to arrive at the correct decision for me and my family. We recently replaced a 2nd very large electrical panel in a house built 25 years ago. The original contractor incorrectly wired the panel with multiple wires of different sizes on the same connection which is an obvious safety hazard. We were pleased with the project. Similarly, to control electric costs, I have installed/converted/upgraded all my lighting/wiring in the house and guest house and barn/kennel, including a 1/4 mile driveway. The barn lighting was 30 feet in the air, all exterior and barn lighting is timer controlled with a commercial back-up generator --- so we are not talking about small, simple projects like installing a new light fixture, which they can also do. Most recently they helped me with the wiring of a recreation room in my basement, an office over my garage, and two bathroom remodels. I have found their work ethic and quality over the two decades to be superior to other electricians I have hired for similar projects in other areas of the country. In my 20 year experience, Mendelson Electric is an excellent value.

Way overpriced, Poor Quality, Garbage company: Read entire review I had to use this company for an inspection. I was quoted at $20 an outlet to switch the ones that are not up to code with an estimate of $200 if all of the outlets needed replaced. I could've done this myself with a $5 electrical tester and about 40 minutes of work, but I chose to use this company to insure that it would be done correctly. The guy that came only changed 4 outlets and I was still charged $200. Typical shady work right. I asked for receipt of this and still to no success, even though he said he sent it. I did not trust the quality so I ended up buying one of those $5 outlet testers myself to make sure I would pass inspection. One of the outlets still did not even work. I contacted the owner in a professional manner and explained that I overpaid, that it was not even completed, and that my inspection was in two days. He said "I wont charge you full price but I have to get something out of it. Hows $80 sound? I'll be there an hour before the inspection to fix it." I agreed and this garbage didn't show up and forwarded my call to voicemail that morning. You don't always know who is on the other side of the phone. Unfortunately for Mendelson I am an active member in my community and not just some person that will take it. Enjoy your tax returns this year Mendelson, the IRS is going to love you this year.
