  Buyer Beware! While this company charges you on a monthly basis, without informing you, they have an AUTO-RENEWAL in their contract language. We no longer need their services, as our home is under full construction/re-model. Rather than allow us to cancel service for the time being, Moon Security Services informed us we had to pay for the upcoming 8 months of UNUSED SERVICE due to their policy and contract language. While it is not a lot of money, it is the principle behind their practices that motivates me to warn others. They may have collected 8 months of unused services from my family, but I sincerely hope this message directs other potential customers to find a different security provider and current customers to do the same. Current customers should send in a cancellation letter indicating Moon Security Services is not allowed to auto-renew their policy at the renewal date and go month to month, or cancel their service.

  I'm not sure how this situation became so misunderstood. This client advised of the remodel, and the monitoring fees were canceled effective Feb 1, 2021. The agreement went through Sept 2021, and was likely mentioned. The credit was issued without negotiation. We hold client's to contract if they purchased a low or no down promotional package and are still within the first term of the contract. This is consistent with every other provider in the industry. Otherwise, we thank them for their business and ask them to consider us in the future. At no time was Mr. Howgate billed for the unused portion of his agreement. I would appreciate the opportunity to correct this misunderstanding with Mr. Howgate. He should call and ask for the General Manager.

  If I could give zero stars I would. After being a customer for years I happened to notice they now offer a discount for veterans and first responders. After inquiring about it I am given two different stories and instead of simply honoring it they chose to lose my family’s business. Would not recommend. Update: That’s incorrect. No one offered to honor the discount. I was simply told no.

  Moon Security appreciates the brave men and women whom protect our country and communities, which is why we recently began offering discounts to veterans and first responders in our community. Available discounts are only applied on new system purchases and monitoring. In this instance, we happily offered an exception to reduce the ongoing cost of monitoring. We’re sorry this was not sufficient to retain your business, we thank you for the past years of patronage.
