We had the best guy come out to do our work, Tony was fantastic and deserves a raise! He went over all my options and told me what he thought the problem was. He was very thorough and got the job done quickly. Thank you!

Daniel and Newton with Mr. Electric did a great job fixing multiple electrical issues at my house. Very professional, on time, pleasant, and did an overall great job. I recommend them to anyone in need of an electrician.

I had called Mr. Electric over a year ago to fix an issue with our switch breakers, and the technician they sent out did a great job and was well worth the money, in my opinion. So, a couple months ago, I called them again to install some recessed lighting. Things were different this time... The person they sent out, while he seemed knowledgeable, up-sold us like crazy. What was a simple request was suddenly ballooning into loads of extra stuff, including replacing the outside panel (even though there was nothing wrong with it), and replacing fire alarms, replacing ALL the light switches, putting extra surge protectors on everything, etc. While some of this seemed like a good idea, and in the end I agreed to some of it, this bill was quickly creeping up over $5000 for things I didn't ask for to begin with. Thankfully, I took some time to ask a relative who is an electrician about the outdoor panel upgrade (the most expensive item), and he informed me that it was way overkill for a normal residential usage. Thank goodness I stopped them from doing the work before paying for that portion! They did install the lights, and the lights do work, so no complaint there. They did damage the drywall in the ceiling, though, from shoving those lights so hard that the drywall buckled at its seams (I was there and watched), so it now has a mild wavy buckle to the ceiling that wasn't there before. I know for a fact it wasn't wavy before because I spent hours scraping popcorn off the ceiling when the house was first purchased - I am intimately familiar with this ceiling. We spent ages having people come out and look at it, etc. and they never admitted to the damage, so I just gave up. It's a mild waviness that's very hard to see unless you look from the right angle, so it's not worth fighting over at the end of the day. However, what has REALLY put me off is the massive up-selling. That's just awful, because now I can never trust them again - how would I ever know if I was being ripped off? It's really a shame, because my first experience was so good, and I had really thought I'd found a great company I could use for the foreseeable future, but now I'm going to have to find someone else to handle my future electrical needs. Edit: Yeah, you guys already had your chance during the incredibly irritating ceiling inspection back-and-forth nonsense. You've burned through my good will and I'm not impressed. ðŸ˜
