This was an extremely frustrating experience. Let me express upfront that the technician Mike that came out was very professional and respectful. BUT, the office employee that set my appointment completely wasted my time. I was very upfront about the price range I was looking for to install a ceiling fan. As well as making sure to tell the office employee that if a fan installation could or typically runs more than 150$ than don't worry about scheduling a tech to write a quote because I only budgeted that for this install. The price was 3x that amount. Which is fine, but when I directly expressed to the office employee what my limitations were, it left me feeling like I was being played. The office employee did make sure to let me know that there was a 30$ service fee to have the tech come out. Very frustrated as I took time off work to be here for the appointment and what a waste it turned out to be. Again, I got to say that Mike the technician that was dispatched was very kind and considerate. Makes me wonder if he has to deal with this often. Buyer Beware.

Nick, I am so sorry to hear our visit left you frustrated. Our office staff does not have any of the pricing. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Had the technician come out and he was very professional and punctual. The problem was with the bid. I gave the same statement of work that I provided to other electricians. When we went over the pricing, I was floored at the cost being more than double that of other reputable companies. I got a follow up call asking my thoughts and I explained that they were more than double the cost. The person simply said we stand behind our quotes and that I was welcome to use the other company. I asked the person if they were at all interested in why they were double the cost and she simply said no. I think they misunderstood the scope and created some additional charges that got them way out there. Instead of trying to figure out where the problem was with the quote they simply told me to not use them and recommended their competitor. I am not experienced with running an electrical business but I think it would be smart if they would consider the fact that they are more than double the price of their competitor that they might have made a mistake about the scope and try to figure it out. I recommend that you shop, and not just take their price as a gage on cost for the job.

Mr. Nunn, you have a very long and informative review. I appreciate your feedback. I reviewed the call and quote, The one who called to follow up on the quote is unaware of how to correctly and accurately answer why a bid is quoted the way it is. The service professional that bid the job would be who could answer that question. In my extensive experience, anytime there is a large difference in quotes it is either because the other company is very low quality, experience... OR a difference in scope of work. Our Service Professional wrote a VERY detailed description of work with up-to-date pricing on material with a to the penny price that will not change. What we see more often than we would like to see, is companies that give less than detailed bids that don't include certain items. I would recommend you look at the other bids and ensure they documented the scope of work that you desire and if not call them and enquire about it. I wish you the best and truly hope you get taken care of. If I could assist you in looking over the other bids, I don't mind helping at all, even if you don't use us. Homeowner to homeowner. 3,000 for 5 hours of work. He was here at 830. Left at 130. And a huge chunk of that time was getting equipment driving around. I had a panel tune up and a grounder and surge protector installed. And some wire ran to lights. When I saw how quick it was done I realized I paid way too much. But the worker was perfect. He doesn't set the prices. I'm sure the equipment was 500. I would definitely recommend getting plenty of quotes. I raised the concern to the office. They talked down to me. Would you prefer him work slower? No. I'd prefer your pricing be fair. $500 an hour isn't fair. Kicker/update surge protector put in wrong. Doorbell not fixed. Issue I thought I had wasn't even real, so the worker was not perfect, I feel conned. He did fix the hall. THATS IT.

    Response from the owner

Buyand sell, I HATE to hear you feel someone spoke down to you. I feel that perspective is everyone's truth, no matter the true intention of the CSR, Good or Bad, your perspective was that we were very rude and for that, I sincerely apologize. Please call and ask for Jeremy Smith, this way I can look up your name and listen to the call recording. We can use this situation to train and get better. Thank you for your feedback!
