I hired Mr. Electric to install a new wire To a new breaker for a double oven we are putting in. I called and set up the appointment, I was told they could complete service that day or I had a year to use the quote. The morning of the first appointment I waited around from 8-11 for the window and then called because they hadn’t shown up. Apparently I missed a call the afternoon before about the tech being sick and cancelling the appointment. Thankfully they were able to work things out to get someone out the next day. The next day the tech shows up. He looked the job over and input the information into his system and gave us a quote. The cost was a lot higher than we were anticipating (678.xx) so my husband and I decided to discuss and not go through with service that day. The tech then tells us our quote is only good for a week. Which is weird seeing as they told us a year when we scheduled. Fast forward to just under 2 weeks from the day they quoted us we called and decided to move forward with service. They could get us in the in a week, which was fine. We asked if we could pay for the service while booking the appointment and they said that was fine so we paid the 678.xx. Fast forward to a week later It’s the day of service. The appointment was at 8:00am. At 7:53 we receive a call from the tech That he was having trouble sourcing the materials and would be a bit late. I understood. But then he asks if the receptionist mentioned they would have to re-quote the project and that the cost would go up. I told them no, and that we paid for it a week ago. He basically said it didn’t matter and that since it was past a week they had to re-quote. The whole process seemed very shifty to me. Basically they tell you one thing and then change it last minute, like the cost, and the quote deadline. They should honor what they tell a customer. We went ahead and paid the extra $20 that it magically increased over a couple weeks. We decided we will just take it up with the BBB instead of having to go through the quoting process again. Today the tech came out (very late after the appointment time) and completed the project. Unfortunately I cannot State As to whether it works because we have to get the oven installed first, however I am disappointed that they did not clean up after themselves. They left a large pile of drywall dust on The floor upstairs and wood shavings all over downstairs. You would think as a professional company they would clean up and deliver excellent care. If you need electrical work done and want a honest company do not go with Mr. Electric.

The electrician was on time for the estimate. They confirmed the work, gave us the quote. We accepted it and they had availability tondi the work the same day :) By noon we had our new outlets installed and working. The electrician was fast and polite, and the work was done right.
