  I have used Newport Electric, both personally and through our home building company for almost 30 years. They have wired thousands of homes for us. Last year they wired my personal home. Travis Ferran, the owner, has always been a good resource of information for product innovations of electrical and low-voltage products. I appreciate his forward thinking and that he is always looking for better ways to do things. His company is organized and efficient. His invoices are accurate, even though they have a lot of small pieces to track and manage. The employees are respectful and clean - not always a common quality among construction trades. Two standouts are Josh who manages most of the field operations and scheduling who does a fantastic job in my opinion, and Austin, who recently joined the company to manage the warranty work and other odds and ends. It may just be his Texas accent, but Austin seems like the nicest, most down-to-earth guy you'll meet. In the end, none of that matters if the wiring isn't right or doesn't work, and fortunately, Newport gets it right. I like to think that I have a pretty good handle on most building codes, but when I have an electrical question I can call Travis and he always knows the answer and what needs to be done. We have very few issues at our inspections or as warranty items with our electrical work. Obviously, it is a critical trade to get right the first time. And thanks to Newport, Travis, and the rest of the team, that is what we get.

  We used Newport Electric a couple of years ago when we finished our basement and they did an amazing job! We called them back recently to add several lights and a ceiling fan to a new pavilion in the backyard. Austin Wilemon was the technician on the project and he was wonderful! He was so professional, competent, patient and kind. He was also very knowledgeable and made sure the lighting was perfect. Everything works wonderfully well. It was a pleasant experience having him work at our home. Newport Electric is the company to use!!

  We are not completely finished with our basement finish and remodel, but so far Newport has provided great service. They have been professional and great with communication. They have been here when they have said they would. Since we are still in the middle of the project, I can’t yet speak for finish quality and value, but thus far I have been impressed and appreciative of what they have done. I anticipate I will be highly satisfied with final touches and theater room. Again, they are great at communicating and have been reliable (something that I have found other contractors struggle with). I mostly worked with Travis, but others that have come by have been great as well. I also have had a lot of questions a long the way and they have been great at being patient with my questions and keeping me informed. I would recommend them for sure.
