  Just because it was a little cold in January we are paying double from what we normally pay. I think Nicholasville Utilities just decided that would be a good time to make a little extra money an blame it on the weather. I am surprised they didn’t blame it on Covid-19. Just My Opinion

  They are lazy. They will not read your meter in the winter time. Average our you bills. Then expect you to pay the difference all in one lump sum so your bill jumps $300 or more than the previous month. They also don't have budget billing. Customer service is dead with this money hungry municipality.

  I wasn't aware since I was on the lease technically I had to go on the electric bill when I was putting it in my ex's name and if I was going to do that I might as well put it in my name. You are equally responsible but they don't tell you that I had a situation where the electric bill didn't get paid and it wasn't my fault. I explained to them could they please work with me because I had to get to my kids back in Nicholasville to live there and I couldn't come up with half of the bill plus the deposit which is a lot of money. They had no sympathy towards it whatsoever. I even explained to them that he wanted to take all responsibility for it and was willing but they didn't care enough to do anything about it. If you are going to go through city of Nicholasville I would suggest you don't go somewhere else where there's different utilities because they are not willing to work with you.
