  I believe when it first opened, it burned fuel oil. Now I believe it runs on natural gas. I remember back around the 1970's, that I could actually see dark smoke emanating from the stacks from my neighborhood in Marcellus. The stacks can actually be seen from Maple Road, in Marcellus NY. This is 44 miles away.
