  Very over priced, unreliable service and company. We have numerous power outages a year and it takes them anywhere from 6-12 hours to numerous days to a full week for restoration. They definitely treat their customers as their lowest priority. Their prices are extremely steep and greedy. I have nothing positive to say about this company. It is a shame they are the only electric provider in the area and we have to go through them.

  It worries me that you received 7.4 million, yet you charge $200. to a new customer just to get service.   Ostego electric company is the most heartless company out there. They will make you pay to get your deceased loved one off the bill if you are even late on one payment in 12 months!!! $200 that is Outrageous losing a loved one is hard enough, this company is unfair with it's policy's. We've been customers for 13 years and yet they show no sympathy for you no matter how long you've used there company.
