      I had an excellent experience with Palmetto. The sales person was very knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had, designing a system that was a great fit for my house and energy usage. I got text messages throughout the process keeping me informed and I could track the status of the project in the app. Palmetto took care of all of the permitting and paperwork, which was really nice. I could not have been happier with the installers who put the system on my roof. I have a 90 year old brick house and had a preference for where the external conduit should be run and they were able to accommodate no problem. They explained everything that needed to be done and left no trace when they were gone. Highly recommend!

      This is our journey with Palmetto Solar: March 2021 I started the process of getting Solar Panels, they were powered on March 2022. Here is my review for Palmetto Solar From the beginning when my solar panels were delivered, they had the wrong converter, they had to come back the next week, they had the wrong permit,  the electrician Palmetto hired to hook up the panels hooked them up against a violation code, and it wasn’t going to pass inspection. So I didn’t hear anything from Palmetto for months, I would call every week. So I contacted Sunlight Financial where I was approved for the loan, they couldn’t do anything and didn’t do anything. They said “We are reaching out to let you know that Technology Credit Union’s Liaison Team continues to monitor the progress of your complaint.  It is our understanding that Palmetto is working with your local utility to complete the punch-list necessary to activate your system.  We have asked our partners at Sunlight Financial to request that Palmetto contact you to convey a timeline for completion, as well as to discuss your request for compensation.” They didn’t reach out to Palmetto for me, I reached out to Palmetto customer service in November and they reimbursed me from September to December 2021. I did the leg work, me and my husband, we called the inspector weekly to see if he had heard anything. Whomever Palmetto contracted to connect the panels to the breaker box hooked it up knowing it wouldn’t pass inspection or he just didn’t care. It took over 4 months for them to find someone in my area to come out and move the breaker box. Finally Palmetto called and said that they were hiring this company to come out and move the breaker box so the electrical part can pass inspection. Communication sucked with Palmetto, finally the electrical part passed inspection and our solar panels were powered on March 29, 2022. This is my thing if you are reading these reviews because you are wanting to get Solar Panels, Solar Panels are the way to go, but do not go with Palmetto. Do your research, find out from your electric company what solar panel companies they recommend in your area, find out who your county inspector is, they will let you know what is what.

      We had a great experience with this company starting with the sales person Jessica, throughout the entire process, and ending with the installation team. Jessica was always available to answer any questions and explained things clearly. The installation team was wonderful...The guys were professional, clean and efficient. It took them right about 4 hours to complete installing 29 panels and do the work on the side of the house. Everything looks neat, they explained things clearly and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend this company.
