    The techs are great, the office not so much. I have twice had problems with the generator and called into the office and first they tell me they will put me on the schedule for weeks away, but then they just let the tech come out for the scheduled maintenance semi-annual and don't bother to tell the tech about the problem I notified them about - on two different occasions (May 2021 and November 2021). This then means the tech spends more time than planned and throws off the rest of their scheduled work for that day. It shows that the office has a significant lack of respect for techs and customers. It is time to switch to a new maintenance company.

    Jon, sorry to hear about the troubles. Sounds like a bit of miscommunication between the office and the tech which is completely understandable. We all are human. Yes after ida we did get behind on the annual maintenance programs because we were assisting customers with generator issues. It was quite overwhelming but we did our best. Hate to loose your business over this small issue but I understand completely. I hope other companies can respond to your needs better but I will tell you all generator companies are back up at this time. Take care and thank for for the past business.

    We had a Kohler generator installed end of January 2021. Ran fine through weekly exercises and short outages. We lost power after Hurricane Ida the generator ran for 36 hours and shut down and would not start back up. We left several messages with on call including an emergency call because of medication that needed to be refrigerated. No one responded. We had to go buy a portable generator to keep refrigerator running. We also contacted the Kohler generator company and they tried to walk us through and troubleshoot the problem. They finally told us to contact the company that installed the generator and have them come service it. We are still waiting to be contacted.

    Rhonda, sorry for your troubles and frustrations with the Kohler Generator. Yes, the phones lines were jammed up with calls and it made it almost impossible to efficiently get back to everyone. I have spoken to Kohler on your behalf and they are expiditing the parts for your repair. We don't manaufactire the generators and don't carry every single part in house at our facility. Again, sorry for the generator failure.

    I had this generator installed 2 years ago and signed up for their yearly maintenance plan. In July they sent me a bill to renew my maintenance plan but they said they were backed up because of the rain and someone would contact me soon to schedule maintenance. I had to call them back In the middle of August to follow up since they never made an effort to make an appointment with me. An appointment was made to come out this week so when I called to see if they were still coming out or if we needed to reschedule for another time because of the hurricane, I was told they weren't coming out because they were servicing generator repairs right now, which I understand. However, when I asked her if they would be able to come out right away if my generator stopped working because it wasnt serviced back in July, she told me that they would not come out and fix it because I should have kept it maintained! What?? Yes, she said that I was responsible for checking my oil and changing it myself if it needed it....even though I pay them to do it! As you can see this company always has some excuse whether it's rain, hurricane, or covid, just read the other reviews. This lady was extemely rude, I called another company that is more professional.

    Mike, Your review is a little off......you called in two days after a category 4 hurricane hit our town. You were advised we were not doing oil changes at that time and only running emergency calls for generator down. She did advise you if there was an issue with your generator we would be there to help. You proceeded to get aggravated and belligerent to the lady at our office and continued to say then what do I pay you for! The thought that you wanted your oil changed over getting a fellow neighbors generator fixed is very concerning to say the least.
