Stay Far Away From This Company! I signed up at the end of June. We bundled a new roof and A/C so everything would be more efficient for solar. We also ordered a Powerwall. The sales person did not listen to my questions and request concerning the roof and A/C and tried to get those projects moving before I said I was okay with my options. He also tried to increase the amount of solar we were getting installed when I didn't ask for it. While the A/C got installed fine, we were very unhappy about the roof job. They made a total mess of our property and then left it for four days with the job half done. I called and complained to the office that this rep was being very Shady and not letting us communicate with the contractors. At first I was very impressed with their response. Two regional managers came out to discuss the problem. They apologized about the rep and promised to go above and beyond to make it right. It sounded good. But then it added over three months of waiting before anyone showed up to install any solar. They got the solar up and the battery installed pretty quickly. There was a little bit of sloppiness on the installers' part. They had to keep coming back to put on little parts they didn't have on the original installation. Someone also broke a brick off the facade on the front of our house next to the electrical meter and decided to throw it away so I can't even fix it. After the last visit a wall of outlets were not working in our house. Two weeks after installation the Powerwall stopped working. I called them about this and they said they'd get back to me. Almost a month went by. I looked in the breaker panel myself and found the disconnected wire for my outlets. When I called again about the battery they asked me about the outlets and I said I handled it. Someone finally came to look at the battery and determined its faulty. Now I've had two months with no battery backup. PTO hasn't happened so I am still being charged by PG&E while they take our extra power daily. If our battery worked it wouldn't be a big deal because we would not have to draw anything from PG&E. Back to the roof, it leaked the first rain. I called and the roofer came out and looked and said they found the problem and fixed it. This last storm leaked like a siv. Pretty much raining in our garage. Update: They finally completed the setup with PG&E so we are actually getting credit for the power we are making. It looks like the last two months are just going to be a loss on our end. Called many more times about our Powerwall. Each time they have to find someone and say they will call us back but never do. No word on our roof either. 2nd Update: Last call to Phoenix they said they haven’t received our replacement Powerwall and will reach out to Tesla to find out about it. I called Tesla the next day. They said the replacement arrived three weeks ago and they have been trying to get ahold of Phoenix with no luck. 3rd Update: February 20th, finally get replacement battery. Nearly 4 months after it failed! Their incompetence has cost us hundreds of dollars with PG&E. 4th Update: When they worked on figuring out our battery issue their technician decided to change the battery setup from running our sub panel to the main panel. Now instead of running just our essentials in the case of a power outage, the battery drains power to every running thing in the house. So if we do get a PG&E shutoff, the battery will be dead within a matter of hours. I called about this and again was told I'd hear back from them later. Now on April 13th, their website is gone and their phone goes straight to voicemail. Beyond that issue, we still have our leaky roof, and we have not received any information on the rebate program we were supposed get for the battery. Reading other reviews on other platforms it appears as if Phoenix has taken the money and ran. They powered out as many installs as possible with no customer support plan in place. All evidence points to the shutting their doors and giving us all the finger.

One star is 5 stars too many. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Rescheduled 8+ times for our install. Every time they said they would call us back they never did, my wife had to call them every time. I even had one guy show up completely out of blue with no warning to get some pictures, i just happened to be home at that time. And to top it all off the electrician did a pretty ugly job on the panel, as well as some circuits not even working properly in our house. Currently waiting for him to return to fix it as I type this. I don’t like to talk bad about companies, and to give them a chance, but I wish we had never gotten solar from here. It has been a huge amount of stress and struggle just to try and get them to do their jobs. And it’s not even done yet. I only hope I can save someone else the headache and stomach aches that we’ve had.

Our experience with Phoenix Solar was amazing! Shane & Mark were professional and timely with communication, making the entire process smooth and seamless. Our solar was installed within a few weeks of signing the contract. The installation was clean and aesthetically pleasing (no unsightly conduit runs). We would recommend Shane & Mark to anyone looking for solar!
