      I called Preferred Home Services for an HVAC repair after a wire was accidentally cut. Everyone I talked to was incredibly friendly and helpful. The technician was polite, explained the problem, explained the solution…really everything you’d want with a tech. The wire was cut by someone preforming some wildlife preventative measures. The wildlife guy ended up arriving while Preferred Home Services were here. He quickly apologized and took ownership of the problem. He will be deducting the repair cost from my bill with him. My problem with Preferred Home Services comes from the pricing. The work was repaired in about an hour. It required reconnecting two wires…for $467. Even though I’m being reimbursed for the cost, it feels incredibly high for what was completed. Their fees seem to be just a flat rate, regardless for parts/labor used. I doubt I’ll call them for future repairs simply due to their pricing structure.

We do always make a point to provide upfront pricing prior to performing any repairs to allow the homeowner to make an informed decision. Preferred does not charge an hourly rate, but rather for the job as a whole as it includes parts, labor, and warranty. Due to this pricing structure, we are able to provide our customers with services like same day scheduling, longer warranties, and trucks stocked with well over 500 parts, along with a fully stocked warehouse with parts runners. Again we appreciate your feedback, as this information will be passed along to our leadership team so that we can improve our processes as we continue to grow.

      Great customer service! Outstanding technician that was wonderfully polite and a cheer to talk to! We had a clog deep in our sewer line, near where it connects to the city sewer system. Milton was our technician. Milton was outstanding. Very courteous, polite and communicative. He first cleaned out the clog in our system. Then he used a fiber optic camera to inspect the sewer system from house to street. He showed us on the monitor, spots that could be problematic and what is causing the clog in our line. Our house is 40+ years old. Milton was upbeat and cheerful the entire time. We also asked for an estimate for repairs of the line and he provided it to us in about 5 minutes. We had a great experience with Preferred Home Services and I would say it is because of the outstanding technician, Milton. After all, it is the people that make the company. We look forward to doing business with Preferred again in the future if this is the standard they set for their company.

      Very happy with the service I received, I had them out to check air conditioner for summer since we just had purchased the home, first tech sat down and explained everything that was wrong as my system was 22 years old.Talked to my husband and he said we better get a new one. Called them, was setup with a specialist to come out and give a quote for new the next day. The quote was good and I signed paperwork was put on schedule for next day installation. They showed up on time and went straight to work, both techs were very nice and mannered. Overall service was wonderful, I highly recommend.
