  Update: they are doing better at updating us on FB when there is an outage so I’m now giving three stars. Now if they would work on customer service, specifically answering the phone. It’s a shame that PGEC can’t post updates or any information at all when our service is interrupted. All we get when we call is a canned response about no estimated time of restoration. My mom lives in a very rural area in the western part of Virginia and her electric cooperative posts a status every time there is an outage. All we hear are crickets 😡

  I have been a customer of PGEC for 3 years now. Never had any issues with calling them or billing. During the recent Ice Storm our power was out for 9 plus hours. No worries, we prepared for it. Electrical utility trucks were out in force and worked to restore the power. My rates are reasonable and the service is good.

  Attempting new membership (for four days) with this company only because I HAVE TO. So far the application process has been unnecessarily difficult due to poor/miscommunication between the pgec Representative, myself and the sellers. We are getting a complete run around. Pgec tells me one thing and seller another. No return calls and no return emails. No email confirmations of (sensitive) documents that were faxed. No return emails or calls on updates and it’s very difficult to reach an associate at the main office. Also, the office and drive thru are closed so there’s no way to make in-person transactions. I am already weary of my future experiences with this company. Frustrated is not the word at this point.
