My first time using Quality Electric Service in the residential real estate management component of my real estate brokerage. The electrician I had been using in the past ten years recently retired and recommended QES and he has passed me on to good hands. QES removed an existing, obsolete, ceiling fan in a great room of one of my property management homes in Falls Church having a 20’ ceiling and installed a new 54” fan and new 60” down rod. The task requires a tall ladder and is a two man job. Jeff and O were professional, efficient and easy to work with. Work was accurate, complete and timely. I was impressed and appreciated that QES disposed of the old fan and the packaging material for the new fan and down rod. I will be using QES from this point forward and happy to recommend them to others.

Great service at a reasonable price! We had several home “electrical casualties” that we’re resolved quickly/efficiently by QE’s superb electrical technicians. First, a broken light switch controlling an outside deck light; second, electrical conduit damage due to “hungry chipmunks” that cut electrical continuity to the front yard lamp post; third, replacement of 4 under cabinet lights in the kitchen. We will definitely keep QE on speed dial for future electrical work!

They arrived on time and handled the issue quickly. The job was completed and was called to notify that was $145 by check or $155 by credit card. I called the tech back in 5 mins but he did not pick up the call. He charged my husband $185 because he was talking to him for 15 mins. We didn't know the clock still running after the job was completed. We called the office, he said he has notified my husband about the clock still running, apparently my husband did not know. (who wouldn't pay it first?) We were unhappy and fel got scammed. we could have paid it right away. we will dispute the $30 on the credit card since they did not want to remove that talking charge.

We started dealing with this customer on Friday April 8th, I spent 20 min on the phone trying to help him fix the issue over the phone as he wanted to try and repair the issue himself after we mentioned our service rates. At which point the customer called back to our office on Monday April 11th, again explaining to us what he tried to do to correct his electric issue, and we spent another 10 min on the phone. At such point we told the customer a technician need to com out and look at the problem, and again I gave him our service rates, $135.00 for the first 30 min, and $35.00 each additional 15 min after that plus any material we provide. At which this point the customer scheduled a service call for 8am on Tuesday April 12th. The technician tried to call the customer to let him know we were on the way, but no answer, the tech got to the site at 8am and meet with the tenant, at which point he started to diagnose the problem. The tech found the issue within the first 30 min, wrote up the ticket and at that point called the customer again for payment. When the customers wife answered the phone and said she wanted to pay with a credit card, at which point the technician informed her that the company charges an additional 5% for taking a credit card. The customers wife then told the technician she did not want to pay for the 5%, and that her husband would come and pay by check. The technician waited well over 15 min for the customer to arrive, at which point the extra $35.00 was added. By the time all this was completed the technician was there for an hour and ten minutes, and billed for 45 min. So I guess the companies time waiting for the customer to show up for a call he knew was at 8am, and our time doesn't mean anything. From the beginning the customer was looking for free advice to solve his own problem, we tried to help, then went out fixed the problem, waited on the customer for payment, still not charging for all the time we waited, and then want to dispute the bill. No one was scammed here, the customer knew the rates, and he was generous on the time he charged the customer for actual time he was there. All that had to be done was to pay for the job when the technician was finished with the repair. This is a company that has been in business for over 50 years, we do not make a living scamming our customers. If you don't want to pay for a repairman's time and save money doing it yourself that is fine, but please don't talk about a business that has been around this long because you don't want to pay for our time. Just like the old saying, time is money, and goes both ways in life.
