  The worse company for billing. I’ve had this electric company for 36 years. My husband passed away and it has been a struggle with the loss. I was two weeks late to pay my bill and I called REC to let them know I’ll be sending a check late, the next day Patrick from REC comes to my place to shut off the power. I called REC and I was told if I don’t pay it by close of business, power gets shut off. I explained I understand if I was over a month past due, but two weeks? In addition, I called REC to let them know I’m late and they still sent Patrick. He told my staff that I was going to have a hard time from REC because I was late. I called the company back to ask what did Patrick mean by we are going to have a hard time by REC? They didn’t know what he meant by that either, so I left a complaint. This is a company that is in desperate need of money and will not work with the families in Spotsylvania. They tell you on the phone as long as you call, they can make arrangements, but their arrangement was cutting off the power.

  This is the worst electric company I have ever used. We are in a blackout due to the snow storm and rec can’t even give us an estimate time frame on when our power is supposed to be back on. When you call they say they do not have any information. We have a young child that we have protect and we cannot live like this. The first chance I get to move out of this property that only uses rec, I am out. Dominion is a way better company and actually cares about their customers!

  Extremely rude and not helpful at all ! I called about my electric bill being the highest it’s ever been, over $200 then my usual bill and no one there wants to even hear my issue. I was polite as possible until they started to cut me off. They keep saying it’s the weather !? These people are just robbing us. Def looking to use another company or going solar asap!
